Snow Day

Hello Family,
It snowed! The kids were so excited. Mercer really wanted to make a snowman, so we did it. Even Rori helped. She wanted to come outside so badly, she tried it barefoot for a while. Mercer and Lilli were so into it. Unfortunately we did it when Dexter was at school, but he came home and played in the snow for a good hour. I think this is truly the first snowman I have ever made. Lilli named him Mrs. White. She found the eyes, the buttons and we found the arms together. Not sure where they dug up the hat... Happy Winter!!

just so everyone knows---it is official--gary and i are dating!!! and it's been fabulous. wonderful really. he just came to utah for the weekend and we had such a good time (football game, dinner with friends and mom, dad and john, scary movies, day trip to logan to visit his sister and her fam) and way too short of a weekend. but don't worry i've already got a ticket to see him the week after thanksgiving in vegas. i didn't take any pictures of us this weekend (i know, very uncharacteristic of me), but this pic is from my trip to california for summit when he took me to disneyland...

It was pretty cute how hard Weston worked on this pumpkin!

So I successfully guilted Mom into coming to my house for Halloween. And I am so glad that I did because we had a blast with her and Ernie! Thanks for coming guys! We need to all try and spend a Halloween together. It would be all sorts of fun!

Fall Fades to Winter

Hello Family, Happy Fall. Hope everyone is doing well. We had a good, peaceful Halloween. Dexter went Trick or Treating with his cousins, so George and I took the 3 other ones just around my parents' court. By the second house, Rori knew how to bang on the door and yell, "TEET!" She carried her own treat bag and everything. (still not having a lot of luck uploading pictures, but I got one...)

Update on my Dad

FYI - Some may have heard that my dad went into the hospital last night, some might not have. Anyway, just an update. He had a low level of blood in his body and so his heart muscle was working against itself trying to pump the blood out to the body... Don't completely understand, but that is the gist of it. He was passing out a lot and last night around 9:30 he was out for a good10 minutes. It was pretty scary. But now he has been rehydrated and his blood volume is being improved, so we think he'll be coming home tomorrow morning. That is all. Our love out to all of you.

Luke has mastered the stairs. This is our first place we've lived with stairs.

Weston on our new couch! Where you see an air mattress is where our table should go as soon as we find one.

Randi...I like your energy! I think a family blog is a great idea. This may get me motivated to start an individual family blog instead of just spending way too much time reading other people's. Thanksgiving

There are rumors circulating about doing Thanksgiving at Mack's. True? We are excited if that is true and we'll be there. Dexter has school conferences the whole week before, so I think we could even be there a few days early and stay through Saturday. That sounds really fun. Is the Cooper's cabin an option, or are we doing the family cabins?

Hello Family,
I thought we could try out a family blog. It is totally private, no one but the authors that I have invited can read it. I thought it might be a good way to keep each other updated with what is going on. Stories, trips, pictures, poetry :). Whatever we want. I hope that it will be a good way to keep up with each other - like John's hole- in-one, the Houston Grand Opening, Seth's job, Spokane School, kids' teeth... Hope this appeals to everyone.
