A Happy Halloween!

We were so lucky to have Mimi with us for Halloween. She had to come out for a Paul Mitchell event in Nov. and I convinced her to come a little early so she could be with us on Halloween. We got to go trick-or-treating at the Paul Mitchell School and see Ernie as Dora the Explorer! We hope you all had a good one as well!

Scanning Old Family Photos

Time moves so quickly. It has been hard for me to even go back and view many of the pictures we have because of the verclemntness of the whole situation. Now I have bucked up and started to scan many of our priceless memories.

Found Some Fun Family Pictures

This is how we looked in 1993.

More on Owner's Summit

I really liked the Summit also. It was great to have Randi there. The Paul Mitchell school family is awesome and way better to have so many of our family members involved. What can be better than getting together twice a year in Newport Beach?

summit

PM summit was great!!

I was looking at George and Leslie and Erin and George and I said that it was great that you are all involved in the same business because it keeps you all connected and we get to see each other more than we normally would.

I loved summit. I get it now. There is a lot of love in that company. I only caught a few hours here and there, but it was awesome. I told George on the way to the airport that I wanted to get more involved as soon as I had some time. Answering phones or whatever. Love it.

The school is coming along. I will get some pictures up soon.

love you all. Hopefully we will make it for Thanksgiving.... not sure with the school just opening.

Battle of the Bands

This last Saturday I played in BYU's Battle of the Bands. We didn't end up winning, but we had a fun time playing and a lot of people came out to support us. Ryan was my roadie...he switched guitars for me during the show. Our band "Broken Hearted Rounds" has been together almost a year now and we usually play on campus minus the few times we have played at a local venue called "Velour". If you have a facebook account you can check out some of our videos. Also, sorry I haven't posted here much. I've been meaning to and figured now's as good a time as ever.

Grandpa and Nana's Wedding Anniversary

It is Grandpa and Nana's wedding anniversary today. I know they are pleased as they look down and view their happy and good posterity. This picture was taken back in the day on the road in front of the family cabins after Nana and I had been fishing. I love Lilli's prayer -- below.

prayers are time for wishes

Lilli's prayer last night:

"Heavenly Father. I wish that Erin could come here and see us soon.
And I wish to be a fairy."

Rori's photo shoot

I did a photo shoot today for a friend's jewelry line. At the end, I put Mimi's dress on Rori. I fixed some of the seams that had come apart, and the buttons.... I love this on her. Thanks Mimi for letting us borrow this dress. :)

We had a lot of fun at the new lake cabin over the last two weeks. Jayme and Doug spent the whole time there and Leslie spent the second week. George came up on weekends. We rented some heavy equipment and had a lot of fun. Brett is an aritst with stone. The wall looks great.

October 2008

I am now working full time at Prosper Inc. www.prosperlearning.com or www.prospering.com. It was a trade off of my Mondays and Fridays which I so much enjoyed, but it was an opportunity to play a greater role at Prosper in a critical time. We help so many people develop alternative streams of income and become independent that it is very rewarding. With all the change in our economy, the DOW going from 14000 to 8500 in less than one year, it may be a very important time for people to learn how to set up additional streams of income.

Leslies is up at the lake cabin with Jayme and Doug and Brett. They are rocking out with lava rocks. Pictures to follow.

almost 2 years later....

Yeah! You made it to Blog!! I had invited you guys as authors along time ago - but I think I sent it to your gmail addresses that you never use. That is great that you and Leslie can blog now - we never have any idea where you guys are!!

I hope John and Ryan join in soon so we have some little idea what's going on with them before we get like a wedding announcement or something. :) I feel so far away from all of you up here.

Our house is coming along great. So is the School. They have paralleled each other rather eerily. Heavenly Father sees so much farther than I do. If I had known 2 years ago....

Quick Trip to the Lake

Leslie and I took a quick trip to the lake this weekend. George was in town to play in a Paul Jacobsen concert at University of Utah. On Sunday morning we took him to the airport. It was great seeing him and getting the four boys together for the golf you play with a Disc on Saturday. After we dropped George off we went up to Island Park to the cabins. We sorted through the storage garage, took some things to the River Cabin and enjoyed the time together. Jayme and Doug came up Sunday evening. On Monday morning Doug and I went to Yellowstone rentals and rented an enclosed cab fork lift and bob cat tractor. I drove the fork lift to the lake cabin and then we got busy moving many large lava rocks. It was a blast. Finally got to drive a tractor and a fork lift. We left Monday evening at 8:30ish and arrived home at 2am. It was worth it!

Construction

Hello All,
Construction has begun. Or to be more accurate- demolition, on our Paul Mitchell School site. It is so exciting. It has been so long - almost a year. We moved to Spokane in March, and immediately started looking for a space, and now there is finally something happening. Finally it feels a little more real for me. We took the kids there a couple weeks ago and I took some pictures of the before...

You can see there is no full wall separating our space from the wonderful Dollar Store. That is happening this week! Yeah. I will keep you posted with pictures and updates. Congrats on the Pleasant Hill School Opening! Love to you all.
